Ladbrokes adds new members to management committees

Respectively Ladbrokes confirmed the appointment of Sly Bailey and David Martin to their social responsibility and audit committees.

Bailey serves at Ladbroke as an independent non-executive director, having joined the bookmaker in 2009. Bailey previously held the position as the Chief executive of Trinity Mirror and has been s non-executive director of the Greencore group since 2013.

In 2013 Martin was appointed as a non-executive director of the company Ladbrokes, and since 2006 he has been Chief executive of Arriva.David Martin joined Arriva in 1996 and became a board member in 1998. before he became a non-executive director, in 2005 he was the deputy Chief Executive  and group managing director of International.

These appointments to Ladbrokes’ Board Committees come the day after Darren Shapland officially retired from the Board. After being in the role of a non-executive director for 6 years, five of which he was Chair of the Audit Committee.

As of the 25 September Bailey and David Martin have taken up their new roles with the respective committees.
